The Audi SQ5 is already an imposing sight on the roads of the UK, and from this week its all-new successor joins the Q5 range available at Audi dealerships. Based around a sophisticated powertrain incorporating TFSI petrol power for the first time, the SQ5 returns with an on-the-road price of £51,200. Deliveries are expected to start in June.
35kg lighter than the outgoing model and with a more powerful engine, the 354PS TFSI is expected to complete the 0-62mph dash in 5.4-seconds and still deliver around 34mpg.
Inside, passengers will be cosseted with Nappa leather, electrically adjustable seating, and matt brushed aluminium inlays will give a modern feel to the interior.
Fitted as standard, the top-of-the-line 8.3-inch MMI ‘navigation plus’ infotainment system recognises handwritten input as well as touch gestures, such as zoom, and connects to the internet via a 4G connection. A 36-month pan-European subscription is included as standard.
